Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21.09.2026. Applies to citizens and legal permanent residents of the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

1. Introduction

This page explains, in plain terms, how this website actually handles cookies and similar storage today. It reflects the real, current technical setup of the site rather than a generic template, and it is reviewed whenever that setup changes.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file that a website can ask your browser to store on your device, so that information can be read back on a later visit. Websites can also store information locally in your browser through similar mechanisms, such as local storage or session storage.

3. Cookies and tracking on this website

This website uses one marketing tool, the Meta pixel, and it stays switched off until you turn it on. On your first visit nothing is loaded and nothing is written to your device. You are asked whether you want to allow marketing tracking, and only if you accept does anything further happen.

If you decline, or simply ignore the question, no Meta script is loaded, no request is sent to Meta, and no marketing cookie is created. The website behaves exactly the same either way. The only thing stored on your device is a short record of your answer, kept in your browser's local storage under the name pi-consent, so that you are not asked again on every page. That record stays in your browser, is never sent anywhere, and is not used to identify you.

If you accept, the Meta pixel is loaded from Meta's servers and reports that a page was viewed, both to Meta directly and to a Conversions API Gateway server that Giulia has connected to her pixel, which passes the information on to Meta. It sets a cookie named _fbp in your browser, and may also use a cookie named _fbc if you arrived here from a Meta advertisement. This is what lets Giulia see whether her advertising is reaching the right people. Section 4 of the privacy policy sets out what is sent and on what legal basis.

There is no login and no form on this website, so nothing else here needs a cookie in order to work.

4. External links and services

Some pages link out to external services, such as Calendly (for booking a discovery call) or LinkedIn (Giulia's profile). These are ordinary outbound links: clicking one takes you to that service's own website in your browser. This website does not embed a Calendly widget or a LinkedIn widget inside its pages.

The one piece of third-party content that can load inside these pages is the Meta pixel described in section 3, and only once you have accepted marketing tracking.

Once you follow one of these links, you are on that service's own website, and its own privacy policy and cookie practices apply from that point on, not this one. We encourage you to review Calendly's and LinkedIn's own policies if you have questions about how they handle your data.

5. Fonts

This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When you visit a page, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers. This is a standard way of loading web fonts and is used only to display the site's typography; no cookie is set on this website for this purpose.

6. Your choice, and how to change it

Because the Meta pixel is a marketing tool rather than something the website needs in order to function, it runs only with your consent. On your first visit you are asked directly, with accepting and declining offered as equal choices. Nothing is preselected, and declining takes a single click.

You can change your answer at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent after having given it, the pixel stops and the _fbp and _fbc cookies described above are deleted from your browser. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting, and it does not limit anything you can do on the website.

Your choice applies to this browser on this device. If you switch browser or device, or clear your browser storage, you will be asked again.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

Even though this website does not currently place cookies, your browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies for any site you visit, and you can set it to notify you before a cookie is placed. Please refer to the Help section of your browser for instructions, as the steps differ between browsers.

8. Your rights with respect to personal data

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
